Oklahoma Grown - Grass Fed Beef
GRASS FED BEEF, CCC Ranch calves have access to native grasses and are fed an increased portion of Alfalfa hay and no corn or grains whatsoever. These cattle are processed at a younger age than the Corn Fed Beef and the benefit of health of only grass fed to the calves produces a reduced fat product that is highly desired by many, which has an increased amount of Omega 3 fatty acids.
First things first, grass-fed beef is better for you.
It's much leaner than its conventional counterpart. It's also higher in key nutrients, including antioxidants, vitamins, and a beneficial fat called conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), that's been tied to improved immunity and anti-inflammation benefits. Plus, grass-fed beef packs about 50% more omega-3 fatty acids than standard beef (although the amount is still far lower than the total omega-3s found in fatty fish like salmon). Grass-fed beef is also less likely to contain bacteria that have become resistant to three or more classes of antibiotics—so it’s considered superior from a food safety perspective as well.
The meat, although leaner and more healthy, does not have the taste that corn fat will bring to the beef. The sacrifice of marbling of fat for health is one that a person has to decide for themselves.
We strive to continually provide tasty natural beef with good genetics and quality care. We are confident you will be satisfied with taste, texture, custom cutting options, ordering, delivery and your healthy choice.
